Ever considered cutting your cable or satellite TV service?
It’s the one “utility” that you can truly live without. Wonder if there are adequate alternative options for TV and movie content?

1. Scan for TV Antenna Reception – Location, Location, Location

2. Discover Streaming Content
High speed internet access will allow you to stream a wide variety of content to your HDTV or other devices connected to your home network. This is called Over-the-top video (OTT) since the streaming services ride on top of your existing internet network connection.

There is an ongoing virtual race among the big service providers to add more and more streaming content. This on-demand content is the future of home entertainment to your TV and mobile devices. Content is available free, subscription based, or pay-as you go.

3. Research Streaming Hardware
Entry level set-top boxes that stream to TV start as low as $49. Many new Blu-ray disc players and Gaming Consoles also support various streaming services. If you are shopping for a new TV, keep in mind many new “Smart TV” models have network and streaming capabilities built-in. Lastly, consider how mobile devices like phones and tablet computers may be used to satisfy your TV and Movie watching needs.
